Urban Wineries.
\nIt seems like a contradiction in terms, but it is a new phenomenon, brought over from the United States.
\nAn Urban Winery is a fun way to experience the fun of a winery without having to leave the city.
\nEspecially in the case of Amsterdam, it’s quite a long car ride to the nearest winery.
\nAlthough: this is rapidly changing.
\nSince 2017, Chateau Amsterdam<\/a> has been on the IJ in Amsterdam, where it established itself as the first Urban Winery in the Netherlands.   This weekend you can become part of essential part of the process yourself: bottling.
\nAnd drinking it too, for that matter, all combined in one event.
\nDuring their annual Bottling Festival the last barrels of wine will be emptied.
\nThat emptying can be done in small sample quantities but also in a bottle.
\nBottling, in other words, and you can help them with that.
\nWhile you enjoy the musical entertainment of Pierre et les Optimistes<\/a> or one of the delicious \u00e0 la carte dishes.

\nYou can taste all their wines, including their new line Chateau Classique.
